Rare antique scrimshaw SHIP HULL snuff box

Rare and choice antique scrimshaw SHIP HULL snuff box circa 1825-50. Carved from solid wooden and covered with whalebone and baleen. Note the engraved mermaid on the bow deck and the fully carved ship's figurehead on the bow. The stern is engraved to simulate the captain's windows. There are 16 brass tack head cannons.

Great condition with some minor typical losses to the baleen. Size: 5 inches long.
