Antique Scrimshaw Bodkins
No scrimshaw collection is complete without a few antique bodkins. Whaler's fashioned these in a great variety of designs including fists, hearts, knots, and geometric shapes. Used as a simple tool to aid in sewing, bodkins were often given as gifts to sweethearts and wives upon returning from a whaling voyage.
