Rare and very choice antique scrimshaw swift with engraved clamp

A rare and very choice antique American scrimshaw swift circa 1860. Rare engraved three-masted ship scene on the whale ivory clamp. Elaborate turnings - the BEST!! with color lines of red and green sealing wax. The original dovetailed mahogany box is lined with silk velvet. Original abalone shell shield shaped key hole escutheon. The size is the box is 25 inches long. Very goosorry, d condition with some needed relatively minor repairs to the inner ribs. Most of the ribbon ties appear to be original.
