Antique Scrimshaw Double Swift Inlaid Box

Superb antique scrimshaw double swift mounted to a decorated inlaid box. American, circa 1850. Whalebone and ivory with polychrome turnings. Maple box decorated with hardwoods and ivory and lined inside with paper. Found with old leather wallet bearing the name of Gardner Waters of Waterville, Maine. Great overall condition with some losses to interior box paper and dividers. Box measures 15" by 10" by 4-1/2", swift is 16" tall.
