"January Steamboat Dock" egg tempera on board painting by Nantucket artist John Austin (1918 - 2000). Depicts an early morning wintry view of the old Steamboat Wharf terminal on Nantucket. Dated 1948 and with original Main Street Gallery label on back. Great composition, perspective, and color palette in a typical John Austin painting. Signed on front with his label on back. Framed in black / white wood frame. Measures 17-1/2"H by 23"W overall.
