Choice antique oil on canvas portrait of Oliver C. Coffin of Nantucket circa 1830 attributed to Sally Gardner of Nantucket. Oliver C. Coffin was born on March 4. 1823, son of Barnabus and Mary Coffin. Oliver married Sarah Nickerson in 1851 and was lost at sea in 1857. Framed in antique gold leaf period frame. Very good condition - relined, cleaned and minor scattered retouch. Size: 24.5 x 19.75 inches.
