A choice mid 19th C. American scrimshaw sperm whale's tooth engraved with a full-length figure of a South American cowboy (gaucho) smoking a cigar under a Palm tree. The reverse depicts a port view of a frigate. Beautiful deep patina. Size: 6.5 inches long. SORRY, SOLD.
