Rare antique scrimshaw tooth NAVAL ENGAGEMENT

Rare and choice antique scrimshaw sperm whale's tooth engraved by the NAVAL ENGAGEMENT artisan circa 1850.

The tooth depicts a whaleship (B on the house flag) in the process of cutting in the whale and the reverse depicts a furious naval battle with a British flag. Blue greenish and red colorations. Very good condition with two old cracks to base. SIZE: 7.25 inches long.
