Vintage Nantucket basket purse by José Formoso Reyes

Early Nantucket basket purse by José Formoso Reyes (1902-1980) circa 1955. Made from a 8-1/2" by 6-1/2" oval mold and measures 10-1/8" wide overall. Signed on bottom (faint). Features a carved seagull ornament, knobs, peg & clasp, and signature formed handle. Excellent condition with a desirable dark patina.
