A rare and choice mid 19th C. tin and brass hand lantern made by the New England Glass Co. circa 1864. Original glass font and probably the original double wick whale oil burner. The lantern is marked underside " NE Glass Co Patent Oct 24 1854 Extended Oct 24 1868" Nice old weathered patina. Size: (not including handle) 10.5 inches tall
