Rare William Carsley Twisted Flue Harpoon
SKU:PMAMC2Rare double flue harpoon made by William Carsley of New Bedford. Unusual design features the twisting of the flues to create a screw effect. Carsley was granted a patent for this in 1841 and is the earliest surviving American harpoon patent. Great original condition with traces of black paint. Measures 39" long.
