Rare 18th C. American scrimshaw walking stick with silver band engraved "Thomas Nye". Whale ivory knob on a mahogany shaft. Thomas Nye is a listed whaling captain from New Bedford (ship Polly & Betsy) circa 1790's. Good condition with old repairs fix with tightly wrapped wire. SIZE: 43 inches long.
