Antique Whalebone Polychrome Scrimshaw Busk with Patriotic Eagle & Whale Weathervanes

Antique whalebone polychrome scrimshaw busk. Finely carved with decorative top and bottom edges. Patriotic Eagle and Sperm Whale weathervanes sit atop American flag adorned buildings. Vine borders as well as a snake climbing a fruit tree trunk. Vignette in middle has a name but is very faded. Reverse side is blank. Great condition. Measures 11-3/4" long by 1-3/8" wide. American circa 1860.
