Antique brass tobacco box from New Bedford, MA. Engraved "Robert Cunnignham, New Bedford" on lid. Includes remants of clay pipe, tobacco, and notes about owner and most recent purchase date at auction. Great condition, measures 5" long by 1-9/16" deep by 1" high.

Robert Cunningham b. 1787 (Scotland) worked as a ship rigger and lived at 52 S. Water Street. Last bought at Sandwich Auction House and was a part a lot attributed to the Coggeshall family of New Bedford.
